According to Yonhap News,

CK Safe Glass starts factory operation as early as in the middle of this month once its construction project to build up a new manufacturing facility in Namwon industry cluster comes to an end, said Namwon city on Feb 9.

CK Safe Glass is the very first investor who decided to move its operation this year into the Namwon cluster founded on a 777,000㎡ site near Samae-myeon, Namwon city.

Spending as much as KRW 17 billion on the new factory to be located on a 24,950㎡ site in the cluster, CK Safe Glass is planning to begin producing glasses used to manufacture refrigerators, washing machines and ovens etc. They’ve long been a supplier of the world’s leading kitchen and laundry appliance company, Whirlpool Corporation.

A city official said “I’d like to express the deepest appreciation to the investor, who made such a bold decision to make investment even in the midst of the growing woes over the impact of the coronavirus led economic disruptions. The investment would help business activities in the community inch upwards, showing vigor from a grim reality of COVID-19 induced recession.”
