Doosan Pure Cell, a producer of hydrogen fuel cell, is set to make investment in the Saemanguem Industrial Complex to mass-produce fuel cell for power generation.

Gusan-si, Doosan Pure Cell, the Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency (SDIA), Jeollabuk-do, and the Korea Rural Community Corporation (KRCC) signed an investment agreement to build the fuel cell mass-production facility for power generation at a hotel in Gunsan-si on December 24.

Doosan Pure Cell plans to invest KRW 143.7 billion in total in Zone 5 of the Saemanguen National Industrial Complex on the 792,000 square meters, while hiring about 90 new employees.

It is planned to commence construction of the factory in next year, complete the construction in 2024, and hire additional100 people from the construction completion to 2026.

As the Zone 5 and Zone 6 of the Saemanguem National Industrial Complex in which Doosan Pure Cell is to be built, will be established as a smart green industrial complex, the city expects synergy effects between related companies.
