According to Yonhap News,

As many hologram companies head to Iksan-si in Jeonbuk to invest in the region, the city is in a bid to form an industrial ecosystem of immersive content.

On Aug. 16, Iksan-si inked an MoU with four companies related to hologram at the city hall.

Those four companies - Swan Electronics, Omal, Xavis, and Ten Square - plan to relocate their branch office or research institute to the region, and hire 60 or more of new employees.

Swan Electronics develops transparent displays, and has the technology to effectively display foods, figures or other contents. Omal pursues smart festival projects by realizing metaverse virtual space of a certain area. And Xavis works on HUD, In-Vehicle Infotainment, etc., while Ten Square offers services with exhibition or promotion center by developing or producing hologram devices.

Iksan already has around 10 hologram-related companies, as well as hologram content service centers and more.

Iksan Mayor Jung Hun-yul said, "We will support all the sectors of the hologram industrial ecosystem, and help Iksan-si to further evolve into a leading city in the hologram industry.
