Jeonbuk's Farming Machine Export Volume Up 32.3% YoY

According to Yonhap News,

Jeonbuk's mainstay trade product, farming machine's export volume continues to increase every year.

On Aug. 23, Jeonbuk-do announced that the exports in the first half of this year amounted to USD 244.23 million, soaring by 32.3 percent from a year earlier.

Over the past 3 years, the exports recorded USD 259 million in 2019, USD 298.55 million in 2020, and USD 446.69 million in 2021.

The officials visited the TYM Iksan plant that manufactures farming machine to promote intelligent agricultural machine that are technologically more advanced than the traditional ones.

TYM, which moved its base from Changwon in Gyeongnam to Iksan in 2010, delivered that it is putting efforts into developing intelligent farming machines such as Korea's first self-driving tractor.

In addition, the province broadly shared ideas with relevant institutes and companies about the future of farming machine industry.
