Paramedics at the Jeonju-Deokjin Fire station in Jeonbuk saved a life in an ambulance with a calm but swift response.

On Sep. 24, the station received a report that a woman was in labor with great pain.

The paramedics went to the scene, but the pregnant woman had labor pain at 30-second intervals, and the head of the fetus was seen at 10 cm of cervical dilatation.

They thought there was not enough time to get her to the delivery room at the hospital and decided to help her give birth in the ambulance. Supported by a doctor's medical instruction, a healthy baby was born in the driving ambulance at around 5 in the morning and later transferred to the hospital.

Park Jin-yong, one of the paramedics who went to the scene, said, "it is such an honor to see her safely giving birth in the ambulance, and I hope that the mother recovers well and the baby grows up healthy. "
