Jeonju-si plans to launch the 6th Vivace Chamber Music Festival starting from Oct. 6 to 8. Under the theme of 'Appasionato (meaning passion in English),' the festival will be held at the Jeonju World Peace Hall.

Since 2017, the Vivace Chamber Music Festival has contributed to enhancing Jeonju's brand image as a city of culture and helping locals to enjoy classical music.

Different from 2021, this year's festival consists of two sessions; one in Summer (July) and the other in Fall (October). For the fall, the works of Mozart, Mendelssohn, Boccherini, and Shostakovich are to be played as we send away the past two years of the pandemic.

On the festival's last day, 42 musicians, Soprano Kang Hye-jung and Tenor Kim Se-il will participate in the outdoor concert.

A city official mentioned, "I hope this 2022 Jeonju Vivace Chamber Music Festival lays a foundation for all who are going through tough times."
