According to Yonhap News,

Jeonju-si, Jeonbuk announced on Nov. 28 that 'the 2nd local village commercial district dream festival" will be held in six places, including stores in the innovative city.

With the theme "Local Village Commercial District Leaping Again," the festival will open on Dec. 1 in the innovation city stores first.

Led by small business owners and residents, various events, such as receipt event, resident-participating flea markets, new or popular items bargain sales and art classes, were held. 

Jeonju-si selected the festivals through a contest and financially supported the event with its expenses.

Gwangju Mayor Woo Beom-ki said, "this event helps village commercial districts, which are struggling with the prolonged pandemic and high inflation, to recover."
