Jeonbuk Office of Education to hold a studying-abroad program for students

The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education announced on Mar. 28 that it would launch the 2023 students' studying abroad program.

The office plans to earmark a budget of KRW 9.1 billion for this year and carry out the program for as many as 2,500 elementary, middle and high school students.

The program to study abroad includes ▲ overseas cultural experiences ▲ overseas field trips ▲ global camps ▲ global internships, and more, and students will be chosen through a fair process, according to the office.

On the other hand, the Overseas Cultural Experience program is operated for 500 students (from fifth graders to high school seniors to help them understand the differences in various cultures around the world.

The program includes overseas experience, field trip, and learning activities linked to the curriculum, and as many as 690 elementary, middle and high school students are eligible to participate in the program (from June to December).
