Jeonbuk National University announced on May 22 that it will work with Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, Morocco to jointly carry out 'projects for nurturing Moroccan experts versed in Koreanology'.

Jeonbuk National University was selected to lead the project from 'Korean Studies Promotion Program 2023', organized by The Academy of Korean Studies, established by the Ministry of Education.

According to the project, Jeonbuk University will introduce major courses about Korean economy and cultural industry to the master's and doctoral programs in Economics and management Department at the University Ibn Tofail.

It will also establish a Koreanology research center that offers research materials and Korea's cultural contents to Moroccan students as their go-to place for data on Korea.

"Taking this opportunity, we will make a wholehearted effort to execute the project to ensure that Morocco will become the Mecca of Koreanology. We will also support Korean companies operating business in Africa to create quality jobs for African students." said, the president of Jeonbuk University.
