With a new chairman of the organizing committee and a director of the event, recently appointed, Jeonju International Sori Festival reveals its new logo and poster on May 23.

The new written logo, that will be used from this year's festival, is 'SORI' which is an acronym that contains 4 unique meanings.

'S' symbolizes connection between tradition and modernity, while 'O' means Korea's sound that reverberate throughout the world. 'R' visualizes Korean traditional knots, and 'I' connotes a wide reach of Korea's sound.

With the concept of 'a festival that bridges today's sound with tomorrow's', the poster is decorated with 4 nature's colors, signifying a vivid festival.

The keywords of this year's Sori Festival is 'Mutual Growth and Recovery', in hopes of harmony between traditional and world music along with recovery of Korea's traditional music and performance.

Jeonju International Sori Festival 2023 will kick off on September 15 and run for 10 days until 24 in Sori Arts Center of Jeollabuk-do and Jeonju hanok village.
