According to Yonhap News,

Jeollabuk-do (North Jeolla province) and KOTRA signed a memorandum of understanding on July 19, agreeing that they will join hands in buoying up the local economy by working on investment attraction, trade, and job creation.

Those two will make collaboration in a range of works such as updating investment trends, backing SME's entry into the foreign market, attracting domestic firms reshoring their businesses, providing supports to jobseekers and new entrepreneurs.

Assemblyman Chung Woon-chun of People Power Party, who took an important role to have the MOU signed said, "With the rising Saemangeum seawall, Jeonbuk province is displaying enormous potential in many different sectors like carbon, hydrogen, food, and leisure industries. I will look forward to the two signing parties making a successful cooperation to boost the local economy in the region."

Governor of Jeollabuk-do Kim Kwan-young said in reply, "Let's open up a new chapter of opportunities for Jeonbuk's economy by tapping into both KOTRA's know-hows in trade policy and Jeonbuk's high growth potential. The provincial government will fully support local firms to secure chances to make inroads into the overseas market."
