According to Yonhap News,

Iksan-si, Jeollabuk-do, will join hands with private companies and research institution to transform the agricultural machinery industry.

Iksan-si announced on October 10 that it has signed a business agreement with TYM (TongYang Moolsan), an agricultural machinery company providing tractors and combine harvester, and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) to establish a support system.

This agreement was designed to create a foundation for cooperation in research and development of the agricultural machinery industry customized to future technology demand, technical support to improve competitiveness of SMEs, commercialization of finished products, and export support.

Under the agreement, the city will lay the foundation for a cooperative system to support agricultural machinery technology, and the KITECH will be responsible for studying technology demand and R&D.

TYM will be in charge of producing prototypes, testing, and developing markets through national and international marketing.
