According to Yonhap News,

All eyes are on whether Kumeu Film Studios, a film studio that has produced a number of box office hits including Avatar and Mulan, will invest in Jeonju, Jeonbuk State.

On March 14, Jeonju-si said that its delegation will visit New Zealand and Australia on March 14-20.

The purpose of this visit is to explore the possibility Kumeu Film Studios constructing its second studio in Asia.

The visit was initiated at the request of Kumeu, and the delegation will confim Kumue's will of investment and discuss future investment direction.

Jeonju City Council promised exchange and cooperation with Kumeu Film Studio in May last year, and Kumeu visited Jeonju in November in the same year, promising to continue cooperation in the film and video industry.

Kumeu Film Studio's 271,000 square meters site is located in Auckland's west, New Zealand, and considered to have the best environment for filming, with such facilities as sound stage, underwater dive tank (covered), and ocean surface tank (outdoor), among others.
