According to Yonhap News,

Jeonbuk State signed an "MOU on promoting balanced regional development and expanding the base of industrial technology" with the Korea Planning & Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT) at the provincial government on March 29.

The KEIT under the MOTIE is an institute dedicated to comprehensive planning, evaluaton, and management of research and development projects related to industrial technology development.

According to the MOU, the KEIT will be in charge of ▲ Establishing a cooperative system for regional specialized research, development, and planning of industrial technology innovation projects ▲ Supporting R&D to discovere major regional specialized companies.

Jeonbuk State plans to create new industries such as secondary batteries, aviation and robots, and advanced bio by enhancing its R&D capabilities and revitalize the manufacturing industry.
