Jeonbuk State and Jeonju-si signed an MOU to build Jeonju Convention Center at Jeollagamyeong Provincial Office on December 12.

With the MOU signing, Jeonbuk-do and Jeonju agreed to cooperate in establishing and operating a mutual cooperation system for the construction and operation of the exhibition convention center, financial and administrative support for the construction of an exhibition convention center, and devising measures to revitalize the MICE industry.

KRW 300 billion will be invested in the exhibition and convention center, which will host indoor exhibition hall of 10,000 square meters, a multipurpose outdoor plaza of 10,000 square meters, large conference room that can accommodate more than 2,000 people, and a medium and small conference room for more than 20 people.

Construction will begin as early as the second half of next year.

Jeonbuk State expects that the exhibition and convention center will be used as a venue for various events and large-scale domestic and international events by 14 cities and counties and public organizations in the province, enhancing the status of the Jeonbuk MICE industry.
