According to Yonhap News,

On April 8, Jeonbuk State and the Jeonbuk State Contents Convergence Agency (JCON) announced that they will invest KRW 10.4 billion to foster the content industry, including games, webtoons, and music.

The province and the agency aim to advance the regional content industry by providing customized support for local content companies based on different stages and genres.

First of all, they will focus on discovering and nurturing prospective entrepreneurs and creators, the roots of the content industry.

They will invest about KRW 1 billion to establish the 'Jeonbuk Content Korea Lab (LAB),' which will provide infrastructure support for businesses and creators. This initiative will include content creation education, support for content production, and assistance with commercializing content.

To help businesses that have passed the early startup phase grow and enter markets, they will operate the Jeonbuk Content Business Support Center, along with various programs such as support for content production, content design and marketing, and corporate internships.

They will also support strategic content sectors such as games, webtoons, music, and media.

The province and the agency have allocated a budget of KRW 2.3 billion for the growth of game companies. This will include support for game production (13 companies), commercialization of game content, assistance with entering global markets, and customized internships for game companies.

Furthermore, they plan to develop Jeonbuk-specialized webtoon production, professional webtoon education, webtoon competitions, the discovery of new musicians, support for established musicians, and the training of digital creators.

An official from Jeonbuk State said, "We expect the cultural content industry to become a future growth engine for Jeonbuk, and we will do our best to ensure Jeonbuk grows into the center of the K-content industry."
