On April 23, Buan-gun, Jeonbuk State signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with four organizations, including Jeonbuk Technopark, KEPCO KPS, KEPCO KDN, and Korea Gas Technology Corporation, to establish a hydrogen city.

This MOU was made to facilitate the smooth implementation of Buan's initiatives focused on creating eco-friendly energy infrastructure centered around the hydrogen industry.

The organizations will each take responsibility for building hydrogen energy production facilities, managing safety, and advancing technology development and demonstration projects.

Buan's mayor commented, "This MOU is a practical declaration for Buan to become a hub for the hydrogen economy. We will work to develop a safe and sustainable hydrogen city model that the local residents can truly feel."
