JB Financial Group will build a data center in the Carbon Materials National Industrial Complex in Jeonju-si, Jeonbuk State.

On July 21st, Jeonju-si signed an investment agreement with Jeonbuk Bank and Kwangju Bank, subsidiaries of JB Financial Group, at the city hall to establish a joint data center within the Jeonju Carbon Materials National Industrial Complex.

According to the agreement, JB Financial Group will invest a total of KRW 53.8 billion to construct a five-story data center on a 5,609㎡ site, with the aim of starting operations in 2028.

JB Financial Group is committeed to actively utilizing local companies and workforce during the construction of the center.

In addition, the city, Jeonbuk State, and the Korea Innovation Foundation will provide various administrative and financial support, including incentives, in accordance with relevant laws and ordinances.

Jeonju's Mayor stated, "The establishment of JB Financial Group's data center will enhance the competitiveness of the Carbon Industrial Complex and serve as a turning point in promoting the smartization and digitalization of the complex."
