Harim Foods to build a smart factory in the National Food Cluster in Iksan
On August 30, Harim Foods announced that it will build a smart factory with a total area of 54,000㎡ in the National Food Cluster in Iksan, Jeonbuk State, consisting of one basement level and four above-ground floors.
The new smart factory will be built with an investment of KRW 200 billion, with the goal of completion in January 2027. Once the factory starts operations, the city of Iksan expects the creation of approximately 230 new jobs.
Harim Foods plans to produce existing meat products such as ham, sausages, and bacon, along with ready-to-eat meals (HMR), patties, and semi-cooked foods.
In particular, the company aims to secure both production efficiency and quality competitiveness by implementing the latest digital AI-based smart operational systems.
This investment is the result of the "Jeonbuk Iksan-type Investment Jobs Project," a local government-led job model.
The city has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Harim Group, continuously providing administrative cooperation, including design and permit support.
