On October 29th, Hankook Mold Gimje signed an investment agreement on establishment of a factory at the Jipyeong Industrial Complex in Gimje, Jeonbuk State.

Hankook Mold Gimje plans to invest KRW 12.3 billion over the next three years to construct an automotive parts manufacturing plant on a 16,528㎡ site in the Jipyeong Industrial Complex starting next year.

The parts produced at this factory will primarily be supplied to Hyundai Motor's Jeonju plant.

Once the factory is fully operational, it is expected to create over 20 new jobs.

Hankook Mold Gimje, headquartered in Gimje, is a first-tier supplier to Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors, and Hyundai Mobis.

The company's CEO stated, "This investment will serve as a stepping stone for greater growth," adding, "We aim to become a representative company of the region, growing together with the city of Gimje."
