(Muju = Yonhap News) Reporter Choi Young-su = Muju-gun, Jeonbuk, announced on the 6th that it will operate a special Task Force (TF) to support investment in the aerospace industry.

Previously, on the 3rd, Hyundai Rotem signed an agreement with Jeonbuk State and Muju-gun to establish an aerospace production base.

Hyundai Rotem plans to invest KRW 300 billion in the Bangi-ri area of Jeoksang-myeon to create a centralized facility for producing supersonic ducted ramjet engines, hypersonic dual-mode ramjet engines, and methane engines for space launch vehicles.

The TF, headed by Vice County Governor Noh Chang-hwan, will be in charge of administrative support regarding ▲ investment support ▲ industrial complex creation ▲ urban planning ▲ licensing and permits ▲ environment ▲ and infrastructure.

The county plans to establish a one-stop administrative support system centered on the TF, including consultations on licensing and permits, expansion of infrastructure, and cooperative response with central ministries and Jeonbuk State.

Oh Hae-dong, head of the County Planning and Coordination Office, said, "Muju-gun's administrative capabilities will play an important role in helping the success of the space industry base." He added, "We will do our best to ensure that the space industry base leads to changes in the regional industrial structure, job creation, revitalization of the local economy, and overcoming the crisis of local extinction."
