According to Yonhap News,
(Gunsan = Yonhap News) Reporter Lim Chae-doo = The Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency (SDIA) announced on the 11th that it has formed the "Saemangeum Robot & Hydrogen Promotion Headquarters" to systematically support Hyundai Motor Group's KRW 9 trillion (approx. USD 6.7 billion) investment.
Following Hyundai Motor Group's announcement last month to build an innovative growth hub encompassing AI, robotics, and energy in Saemangeum through 2029, this task force will be headed by the Deputy Administrator of SDIA.
The headquarters consists of nine divisions, including finance, planning, deregulation, and site support, and will be responsible for supporting corporate investment and policy coordination. By utilizing Saemangeum's renewable energy infrastructure, the agency plans to attract global investments by modeling a future industrial city where robotics, AI, and hydrogen energy are integrated.
"We will accelerate corporate investment support to foster Saemangeum into a global hub for AI and hydrogen future industries," said Kim Ui-kyeom, Administrator of SDIA.
