Japanese and French Companies to Invest in Saemangeum Industrial Complex

According to Yonhap News,

 

Japanese and French companies are expected to make investment in Saemangeum Industrial Complex.

 

According to Saemangeum Gunsan Free Economic Zone Authority on March 4th, a French company plans to construct a factory at Saemangeum Industrial Complex to produce white carbon, a raw material for toothpaste and eco-friendly tires, from 2013.

 

The company will use the steam generated from the poly silicon production factory, which will be established by OCI by injecting KRW 10 trillion.

 

A Japanese company and two or three foreign joint ventures are known to be positive in investing in SGFEZ.

 

SGFEZ Authority was founded in 2008 and has drawn eight foreign companies to Gunjang National Industrial Complex.

 

The reclamation construction of Zone 1 will be finished by 2012, and the reclamation construction of Zone 2 will start within this year.
