Korea's First Renewable Energy Complex Constructed in Buan

North Jeolla Province(Jeonbuk-do) said that it started a test operation of new and renewable energy complex in Buan, the first in Korea.

The construction of renewable energy complex in Buan took 7 years. The complex evaluates and research on solar energy, wind power and hydrogen fuel cells. There is an industrial complex that aims to attract businesses and research institutes.

North Jeolla Province expects that the complex can create about 6,000 jobs and KRW 500 billion of value added from the second quarter of this year.

The governor of the province said that the renewable energy complex is an important starting point for the province to become a hub of new and renewable energy in Northeast Asia.
