Iksan City and Chung-Ang University Joined Hands for Food Cluster

According to Yonhap News,

Iksan city in North Jeolla Province joined hands with Chung-Ang University for the success of national food cluster business.

Iksan city signed MOU with Chung-Ang University on creation of food cluster on June 24th at the city office.

They agree to find various businesses that meet the demand of food cluster, and work on joint research and training of human resources.

They also agree to promote exchanges of research for the development of local society.

The mayor of Iksan city said "We are establishing a wide network for developing a

food cluster by cooperating with prestigious universities at home and abroad. The agreement with Chung-Ang University is a part of the effort."

From 2010 to 2015, KRW 550 billion is injected to build an industrial complex in Iksan to attract food companies and research institutes home and abroad.
