According to Yonhap News,
The number of employees in North Jeolla province(Jeonbuk) hit a three-year high in May.
According to Statistics Korea, the number of new employees in May was 859,000, an increase of 5,000 from the same period of last year, a three-year high since June 2008.
The number of people with decent work was also the highest with 288,000.
Decent work is defined as a work that grantees more than the minimum cost of living, more than 1 year of job security and 4 major insurance.
Employment rate increased 0.2%p to 59.9%, but the number of unemployed also rose by 3,000 to 21,000 people. It is attributable to the fact that non-economically active population are now counted as the economically active population.
