According to Yonhap News,
Gunjang National Industrial Complex in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, is renamed Gunsan 2 National Industrial Complex.
Gunsan city said that it sees no need to use the name Gunjang which is short for Gunsan and Janhang with the cancellation of Janhang region's development plan. The city gained the approval from the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.
Accordingly, the city will use the new name on all PR materials and press releases.
Initially, the city planned to use the name Gunsan Dream Valley which was chosen through naming contest in 2007, but as some pointed out that there is already Gyeongbuk Dream Valley, the city decided not to use the name.
