According to Yonhap News,          

The largest efficiency apartment in northern Jeolla Province will be built within the 2nd National Industrial Complex in Gunsan designated as Samangeum & Gunsan Free Economic Zone (FEZ).

The Samangeum & Gunsan FEZ Office said on Jan. 9th that Korea Asset Development Co., Ltd. that passed the Integrated Appraisal of Construction and Transportation is planning to start building the efficiency apartment.

Korea Asset Development will spend a total of 20 billion KRW to build a 19-floor building with 588 rooms which can facilitate business activities of companies and accommodate employees working within the zone.

The building will include hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, convenience stores, gyms and lounges.    

Reportedly, Korea Asset Development is planning to establish an additional efficiency apartment including offices and convenience facilities in the coastal business complex located on the vacant land.

Gunsan City is also planning to build a two-floor 7,000-square meter business center including a convention hall, seminar hall and small conference room on the 90,000-square meter land in front of Samangeum Industrial Exhibition Center in Osiksi-dong.

Yun Jae-sam, Director of Business Support Team at the Samangeum & Gunsan FEZ Office said that "I expect that establishment of Best Western Tourist Hotel and Business Center around the efficiency building would be very helpful in organizing various international events and providing companies occupying the Samangeum Industrial Complex with practical support."
