According to Yonhap News,          

The project for establishing infrastructures in Saemangeum for investment promotion is going on as scheduled.

Saemangeum and Gusan Free Economic Zone Office said on Jan. 23 that it will complete the reclamation project and construction for building infrastructures, such as water for industrial use, waste water treatment and electricity, ahead of the planned schedule, to attract businesses home and abroad.

The office plans to invest a total of 90 billion KRW in building facilities drawing water for industrial use from Geum River to industrial complexes and provide complexes occupying the complexes with spare water for daily life drawn from the Gusan purification plant and Yongdam Dam.

In addition, it plans to complete basic and detailed design for the facility that sends waste water from Saemangeum to the Gunjang waste water treatment facility within this year with 500 million KRW given by the Ministry of Environment.  

It will also spend a total of 73.6 billion KRW to expand the Gunjang waste water treatment facility and build tunnels and pumps waste waster goes through between 2012 and 2018.  

It plans to come to an agreement in building power cables that connect from Gusan to Saemangeum with residents through consultation and offer electricity to occupying enterprises in a stable manner.
