According to Yonhap News,

North Jeolla local government officials participated in a sales call event and an international tour expo, held in Taiwan and Hong Kong, respectively, this year, to attract tourists.

Their aggressive efforts have led to 1,000 Taiwanese people and 300 Hong Kong people confirming their final decision to visit Mt. Daedun and Naejang and Muju from September.

North Jeolla Province also signed a cooperation agreement with a Taiwanese travel agency to work together to promote various tour products.

In April, it drew about 1,500 Chinese tourists after conducting joint sales calls with Shandong and Beijing.

The province organized tour seminars in Osaka, Japan and Taiwan and developed tour products relating to Yeosu Expo in the first half of this year, which led to 5,000 visitors from China, Japan and Southeast Asia.
