The New and Renewable Energy International Forum is held at New & Renewable Energy Village in Buan-gun, north Jeolla Province (Jeonbuk) from Thursday to Friday.
Worldwide experts and 20 business representatives from the photovoltaic, wind power and fuel cell sectors gather to discuss how to make new technologies commercially available, entice investment to the renewable energy sectors and create jobs.
They will visit Buan Renewable Energy Complex equipped with Korea's largest test facilities for wind power capacity, the Korea Testing Laboratory, Korea Institute of Energy Research, and Material Development Center of Chonbuk National University.
Jeonbuk completed the construction of the first comprehensive renewable energy complex in Korea last year with the main focus on three sectors including photovoltaic and wind power and hydrogen fuel cells.
