Gunsan Applies for Joining Healthy City Network

According to Yonhap News,
Gunsan City, north Jeolla Province (Jeonbuk) is trying to join the Healthy City Network of World Health Organization (WHO) in a bid to establish a healthy city and improve the quality of citizens' lives.
To that end, Gunsan benchmarked exemplary policies of Healthy City, adopted ordinances concerning operation of Healthy City and organized a healthy city committee.
It will apply for the participation in the network next month and the result will be released in May.
If the city wins the approval for participation, it will hold a declaration ceremony and health-related expo.
"We will create a healthier and happier city in partnership with organizations home and abroad," said Gunsan Mayor Mun Dong-sin.
