Increasing Government’s Budget to Speed Up Iksan’s National Food Cluster Project

According to Yonhap News,  

As the total 14.2 billion won budget including 13.1 billion won and 1.1 billion won allocated for a state-led national food cluster project and construction of the entrance road to the cluster, respectively, is included in this year's government budget, the project to establish the cluster in Iksan, north Jeolla Province (Jeonbuk), which has thus far delayed due to the lack of government's financial supports, is expected to gain momentum.

The budget increased a whopping 10 billion won as compared to 3.8 billion won last year.

"With the dramatic increase in the budget, we will be able to complete the construction of cluster by 2014 as scheduled and then companies will be relocated to cluster in 2015," said a Jeonbuk official in charge of the national foold cluster project.
