The Iksan City Government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with three local food companies (Goryeo Natural Food, Dumesangol, and Seo Dong) to promote investment in the Korean National Food Cluster.

At Iksan City Hall on April 16, the MOU was signed by Mayor Lee Han-su of Iksan, Chairman Park Jong-guk of the Korean National Food Cluster Support Center, CEO Hong Seong-yoon of Goryeo Natural Food, Chairman Doo Wang-jeong of Dumesangol, and CEO Go Dae-hyun of Seo Dong Corporation.

Under the MOU, the three food companies will invest in expanding food manufacturing facilities, cold storages, logistics centers, and production lines. Iksan and the Korean National Food Cluster Support Center will provide the companies with necessary investment information and administrative support.

With this achievement, the city expects to attract more investment in the cluster.

“We are glad to sign the MOU with sound food firms in the region. We will do our utmost to offer them stable and systematic business ground, ground that will help them become global players,” said Mayor Lee.
