According to Yonhap News,

(GUNSAN=Yonhap News) The Gunsan Saemangeum Convention Center (GSCO), the core facility in Saemanguem, Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, has opened on July 4. A KRW 18 billion has been invested into the GSCO, a three-story building (7,492㎡).

The Center is composed of a convention hall with 2,000 seating capacity for events such as exhibitions, EXPOs, international conferences, and seminars, 9 meeting rooms and company support facilities.

The City of Gunsan has promoted the establishment of the Center since 2010 following the expectation that the demand for exhibitions, EXPOs, international conferences, and other events will increase due to the creation of the region’s national industrial complex and Jeonbuk innovative city.

The City has designated COEX, the largest exhibition and convention institution in Korea, as the contracting out organization in last February for the early settlement and vitalization of the Center.

“The Society of Applied Plasma” will be held for five days from the 7th, and an EXPO on pregnancy and babies will begin from the 24th for four days.
