(JEONJU=NEWSIS) According to North Jeolla Province on August 6, the Province will establish four 1.65㎿ wind turbines on the land near wastewater treatment facility in the second Gunsan Industrial Complex.

The construction of the wind farm will be completed in December and it will be the third wind farm in North Jeolla Province following the Gunjang wind farm and the wind farm in the first Gunsan Industrial Complex.

The Province cooperated with the City of Gunsan and Hyundai Heavy Industries to build the wind farm in the hope that the wind farm will help overcome the financial difficulties that the regional wind energy companies are faced.

The Province has established a construction plan to build a 250㎿ wind farm in eight regions in the Province to strengthen the onshore wind power.
