(JEONJU=Yonhap News) The construction of the Korea National Food Cluster in Iksan, North Jeolla Province is in a good progress.

According to the Province on September 9, the construction of the food cluster by the Korea Land & Housing Corporation is divided into logging (zone 1 finished, zone 2 under way) and preliminary excavation of cultural assets (about 15 percent complete).

The compensation procedure for the land is almost complete (97.7 percent) except for the part that has been incorporated later.

The establishment of the Korea National Food Cluster is divided into three zones and the construction is expected to be finished by the end of 2016.

For food companies and research centers that are willing to move into the cluster before the official completion of the cluster, LH plans to provide industrial land for them to build plants by the end of 2015.
