(JEONJU=NEWSIS) North Jeolla Province announced March 11 that it will invest a total of KRW 262.5 billion in creating a pleasant environment for farmers and expanding sustainable agricultural production facilities.

The project to refurbish the agricultural production is a project that refurbishes and repairs the reservoir, drain facilities, pumping stations and breakwaters.

The province will invest KRW 54.8 billion in the development of agricultural water and another KRW 76.1 billion in the renovation of irrigation facilities.

It will also invest KRW 84.7 billion in improving the drainage system and KRW 9.6 billion in repairing the breakwaters.

"We will strive to improve the farming conditions and the quality of services to the farmers. We will do our utmost to build a stable farming infrastructure by developing agricultural water and securing production facilities," said a provincial official.
