Chonbuk National University Holds Korean Wave Festival in the Philippines

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) The New Korean Wave Creative Talent Development Project Office of the Chonbuk National University announced August 4 that it will hold a Korean Wave festival from August 12 for four days in Baguio City, the Philippines to introduce the beauty of Korea.

Under the theme, five colors of Korea, the event will show the beauty of the five colors through five Korean traditional teas including omija tea and bokbunja tea. Participants will also have the opportunity to play Korean traditional games including jegichagi, make Korean traditional food, try Korean traditional clothes and listen to Korean traditional music.

Organized by eight departments of the university, the event is the second one following the first in Atlanta, the United States in January.

The New Korean Wave Creative Talent Development Project Office was selected as the University for Creative Korea Project in 2014 to discover and develop new Korean Wave cultural contents and cultivate talents in the new Korean Wave sector.
