Korea's First Industrial 3D Printing Education Center to Open in Ulsan

(ULSAN=Newsis News) The city of Ulsan anounced September 12 that Korea's no. 1 educational materials company ED Corp. and the world's 4th largest maker of 3D-printers Sentrol Co. have joined hands to open an industrial 3D-printing education center in the region in October.

Some KRW 3 billion will be invested in the center's facilities, while the programs offered will be run be ED, and Sentrol will provide the 3D-printers used for education.

The city is scheduled to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the two companies on September 15, and offer active support so that the center can get on track early on.

When it opens in October, the center will be the first of its kind in Korea to provide specialized training in 3D printing.

The center plants to recruit some 2,000 students, who will be instructed by experts and engineers in various fields.
