Ulsan Cheoyong Culture Festival was awarded at Korea Big data Festival

Cheoyong Culture Festival, hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City, received an "Award revitalizing local economy" at the 2nd Korea Big Data Festival, held at KT Olleh Square in Seoul on August 29.

Big Data Festival is hosted by Maeil Business Paper, Korean Branch of International Festivals & Event Association (IFEA), KT, BC Card, and Daum Soft, and organized by Korea University Big Data Convergence Center, selecting 20 festivals by sector to help sound growth of the festival industry.

The 2nd Korea Big Data Festival analyzes 1290 festivals by local governments nationwide based on the number of tourists, credit card usage data, and the frequency of festivals, and also factor in the qualitative analysis by festival-specialized institutions.

Cheoyong Culture Festival was acknowledged for its contribution to local economy due to high sales records during festival period, based on credit card consumption data analysis.

Meanwhile, the 53rd Cheoyong Culture Festival will be held in Namgu Cultural Park and Playground in Ulsan on October 18-20.
