A public-private partnership, named Ulsan MICE Alliance, has launched on Aug 13 under the shared goal to further advance MICE industry in the city of Ulsan. The term ‘MICE’ is an acronym for Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Exhibitions, part of tourism business in which large groups, usually planned well in advance are brought together for the purpose of adding value to the existing services to make them worth more.

Ulsan MICE Alliance largely covers 33 business categories to support, encompassing hotel service, tour agency, international event planning etc. In accordance with the partnership deal, each member agreed to share detailed information on the industry and run a joint-marketing project to host events locally.

The alliance also reached a consensus to seek solutions to attract, host and take part in major events, co-manage a series of famtour programs, share attendee information and help boost consumption.
