Ulsan to participate in the 2023 Invest KOREA Summit to promote 'the secondary battery industry' as its new future growth engine

Ulsan-si and the Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority (UFEZA) announced that they will participate in the Invest KOREA Summit 2023 to be held in BEXCO, Busan, on November 7-8 to conduct foreign investment attraction activities.

The Summit is the largest foreign investment promotion event in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

Fifteen local governments and 170 foreign companies will be participating.

Ulsan-si and the UFEZA will jointly operate a promotional booth for secondary battery industry under the theme of "The Future of Secondary Battery, Ulsan" in the exhibition hall.

The promotional booth will introduce the supply chain of the full cycle of secondary battery, the status of specialized complexes, prominent secondary battery companies in Ulsan, and foreign investment incentives.

In particular, leading secondary battery companies such as Hyundai Motor and Samsung SDI will showcase E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform), and secondary battery model, respectively.

There will be the modeling of the secondary battery manufacturing process to show the process of using and recycling secondary batteries from raw materials for everyone to easily understand.

In addition, they will describe Ulsan's investment environment to more than 100 foreign companies and investors.

At this occasion, they will inform that now is the right time to invest in Ulsan, as the city is shifting its industrial structure to future new growth engine industries such as secondary batteries and energy based on the four major industries.
