(Ulsan = Yonhap News) Reporter Heo Kwang-mu – The Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority (UFEZ) hosted an awards ceremony for the '2026 Ulsan Free Economic Zone Large-SME Win-Win Investment Platform Competition' on the 2nd at the Undang Hall of the Ulsan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation.

Attended by around 30 participants—including Lee Kyung-shik, Commissioner of UFEZ; Kim Heon-sung, Head of the Ulsan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation; representatives of the selected enterprises; and executives and staff from local large corporations and public institutions—the event proceeded with the presentation of awards, introductions of the selected companies, networking sessions, and briefings on upcoming technical exchange meetings.

UFEZ uated 33 applicant companies that submitted proposals during the open call in March. Following thorough document and presentation screenings, it ultimately selected ten promising enterprises specializing in core strategic industry sectors.

The selected companies are Geogrid, Clenewer, Allsu, Bioroom, H&W, Prodle Studio, JL Energy, WeAllys, LK Tech, and Cedars.

Alongside the Ulsan Mayoral Award, these enterprises will receive KRW 8 million per company in commercialization support funds, as well as up to KRW 10 million per company in relocation funding to support their move to Ulsan.

Furthermore, they will be granted diverse benefits, including business collaboration opportunities with regional large corporations and access to networking programs with investment firms.

UFEZ has been driving the Large-SME Win-Win Investment Platform Project since 2021 to discover and attract promising enterprises to Ulsan. Notably, it accelerates corporate growth and subsequent investment attraction by matching enterprises chosen through the annual competition with local conglomerates and public institutions.

Commissioner Lee Kyung-shik stated, "We will actively support mutual cooperation and shared growth between large corporations and SMEs, exerting all our efforts to ensure that enterprises equipped with outstanding technological prowess and talent find their way to Ulsan."
