Measures to Vitalize Foreign Investment in Ulsan Free Trade Zone

Ulsan City plans to commission the research on how to vitalize foreign investment in Ulsan Free Trade Zone from March to September.

 

According to the City, it announced its plan to select an institute to conduct ‘research on measures to encourage foreign investment in Ulsan Free Trade Zone.’

 

Ulsan plans to identify measures to draw investment by industry in Ulsan Free Trade Zone; potential investors; wages, human resources, and labor and management relations by industry; and distribution expenses.

 

The national and municipal funds of KRW 100 million will be injected in the research, and the institute will be selected this February.

 

Construction for Ulsan Free Trade Zone started in 2009 and is slated to be completed by 2012 with the total investment of KRW 260.7 billion on the area of 1.3 m2 in Sinil General Industrial Complex, Onsan-eup, Ulju-gun. The assembly metal, electronics and electricity, mechatronics, and bioengineering industries will be induced to the free trade zone.
