According to Yonhap News,

Ulsan city said on August 18 that it chose 6 companies in the region as the 2011 global star venture companies.

Companies chosen this year are Yongjin Fine Chemical, ATM, PNJ, Sycros, SIS and Motorwell.

The city held an awarding ceremony with heads of the companies in attendance.

Global Star Venture Company Award is the program to select promising venture companies with growth potential. It started in 2004, and 26 companies have benefited from this award.

The city has provided a total of KRW 1.3 billion to companies so far. Sales of chosen companies turned out to have increased by 46% from KRW 272.2 billion to KRW 397.6 billion.
