According to Yonhap News,
The Green Technology Center under the arm of Korea Institute of Industrial Technology completed the construction of an 8,000 square meter-research and laboratory building with the total investment of 24.3 billion won. Its previous building was located in Ulsan Technopark.
The building will be equipped with about 50 kinds of special equipment for research on water & air quality, unit process energy consumption models, eco-friendly nano-materials and resource recovery.
The Green Technology Center is established to develop technology relating to environmentally-friendly energy, renewable energy and climate change and support regional small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs).
The center won the 85 billion won-government project on desalination that continued during the 2009-2011 period and offered its technology to 386 Ulsan-based SMEs.
