MEL Becomes First Government Agency to Move to Ulsan Innovative City

According to Yonhap News,

Customer Consulting Center of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MEL) has first completed the construction of its building out of the ten government agencies to be relocated to Ulsan Innovative City.

The center will start operation from the next month.

About 140 employees working at the center will provide consulting services on labor, employment insurance, jobs and development of vocational capabilities.

Of the rest nine government agencies, Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service and Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency will start construction of their building in 2014.

To be home to 21,247 populations, Ulsan Innovative City is being constructed on a 2.98 million square meter-land in Jung-gu, Ulsan City.

Korea National Oil Corporation, Korea Energy Management Corporation, Korea Energy Economics Institute, Korea East West Power Corporation, Human Resources Development Service of Korea, Korea Labor Welfare Corporation, National Disaster Management Institute and Driver License Division will also move to the city.
