According to Yonhap News,
Ulsan-si (City) unveiled this year's major plan to elevate its status into a global city. The plan includes establishing international business infrastructures, increasing access to the city, expanding international exchanges, facilitating international networks and increasing convenience for foreign residents.
For the establishment of international business infrastructures, the city will complete land preparation construction for a free trade zone, start the construction of the North Port to make it into Northeast Asia's oil hub, holding investor relations (IR) events, dispatching investment delegations and purchasing land for an exhibition convention center.
In order to increase access to Ulsan, it will conduct a feasibility test on the establishment of a regional airline, launch promotion for KTX tour, expand facilities in Ulsan Station and compensate for land to embark on the double line track project connecting Busan, Ulsan and Pohang.
