Ulsan Mayor Attracts Foreign Investment

(ULSAN=Yonhap News) Ulsan Mayor Kim Gi-hyeon will visit four Asian countries including Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam to attract foreign investment from September 22 to 28.


Ulsan announced September 19 that Mayor Kim will lead the Investment Support Group and present on the Northeast Oil Hub project and the investment promotion in sectors including finance, real estate and tourism.

The Investment Support Group will sign a memorandum of understanding with SK Gas and Saudi Advanced Industries Company to build a PDH plant together.

The MOU will allow SK-Advanced, a foreign-invested company and a joint venture of SK Gas and Saudi Advanced Industries Company, to build a PDH plant that produces propylene by 2016 on 104,000 ㎡ land of Ulsan with the investment of about KRW 1 trillion.


"Preemptive on-site marketing is crucial to successfully execute policies and attract investment," said Mayor Kim.
